Commemorated on the plaque at the Roman Catholic Church. Francis Knott was born on 23rd February 1898 in Middlesex, London. He appears on the 1911 census living at the St Edwards Home for Boys, Coleshill. He joined the Canadian Infantry, Quebec Regiment, 14th Battalion, service number 847141. Private Knott was killed in action on 17th August 1917 in France, aged just 19 years. He is remembered on the Vimy Memorial, Pas de Calais, France.
