Sidney Rowland Lea was born in January 1889 in Coleshill. The son of Charles and Ann , he lived in Cole End and worked as a farm labourer. He was enlisted at Walsall into 19th battalion Welsh Regiment and died on 31 October 1918 of his wounds. He is buried at Forest Communal Cemetery in France.
